About

I CAN’T WRITE ABOUT MYSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON.

Growing up in Cleveland Ohio, I fell in love with all things art. Like most creatives, it got me through very hard times in my formative years dealing with metal health, sex, societal pressures of womanhood, the unfortunate reality of politics, and the impending doom of the future. After years of being told that pursuing a career in art was extremely rare and impossible, I never tried. I just liked painting for myself as it was a way to connect with people and express myself. After invitations and acceptance to top art schools, any further academia was out of my financial ability, but I continued to paint. A life without art, in any form, was an impossible one.

It wasn’t until I moved to Chicago in 2016 to be more immersed in art and music in an attempt for a more fulfilling life when art became a career. In that time, I found out I was one of the many neurodivergent women who have been bumping though life with unmanaged ADHD and synesthesia, the source of my talents. Years of trying different business plans, failed art projects, re-brandings, amateur craft fairs, and lack luster exhibits turned into teaching myself oil painting, digital media, photography, and sculpting. In 2023, post pandemic and 2 years after deciding to focus on oil painting, I opened for business for selling original art, prints, digital media, merchandising, and commissions.

My work is inspired by the occult, dark history, ghost stories, nature, human and animal, to escape and cope with the reality of life. I like to express myself with a certain dry humor and conversations of classism, sexuality, womanhood, childhood, curiosity, mental health awareness, religion, civil rights, a little bit of pop culture and personal experiences.

I hope to use my skills and talents to jumpstart more philanthropic pursuits in the future. Making art for myself is rewarding but my goal is to finance and start various non-profits for community outreach relating to mental health, criminal justice reform, addiction, immigration and homelessness.
